Kamiori-Studio is an origami design studio built on the concept of
“Fun to Fold, Fun to Display.”
We aim to enrich everyday life through origami by expanding the experience beyond just folding — encouraging people to enjoy displaying their creations and learning about the cultural background behind them.
Our mission is to transform origami from a one-time activity into a meaningful, lasting part of daily life.

ORIGAMI DESIGN
Basic Origami
Our content is designed to be enjoyable even for those with no prior experience in origami, offering the feeling of folding simple and cute designs on your own.
You can also find tutorial videos on YouTube, making it easy to try the designs firsthand.
Since many of the pieces are intended to be display-worthy, some may be a bit challenging — but we hope the process brings you joy.
Complex Origami
We redefine origami as a sculptural act through the folding of paper, creating works as interior and art.
At KAMIORI, we employ a uniquely developed design theory to create expressions that combine three-dimensional structures which are not entirely folded flat.
By hovering between geometric abstraction and forms that verge on recognizable objects, our work challenges the viewer’s symbolic perception.
It also invites reflection on how we define and interpret form.

The studio is located in Senpaku Kosha, a shared studio that was created by renovating a 60-year-old company house.
